WOW....what a bad blogger am I

Hey there.....it's been awhile, sorry!! Life has just gotten in the way, so here's just a brief update of whats been going on and the LO's I've done.
well....
my sis & her family left Aus {very sad for us, but so exciting for them}
DS had his long awaited nasal surgery {it's all good, great recovery!!! ;)}
then BIL passed away {I was so blessed to be able to go down with DH}
came home to a mid yr cricket carnival for DS1
then find out my job will be changing :( {but no stress as I know God has it all under control}
off to Christian educators conference {really enjoyed the 2 days}
then off to church Encounter {awesome!!}
then back to school {not really feeling like I'd had any break at all...}
but, as expected, {God is soooo good} job all good...and love working with the ppl I do
now trying to get some scrapping done at BONS July Cybercrop!!! woo hoo

I know this is super dooper late advertising...but it's still on, till Tues....so come and join in! Its such an inspiring place...always something amazing to be inspired by, and a great bunch of girls!

well, for something TOTALLY different for me

I've created this really FUN LO in

pink/blue & black colour combo!

Not a combo I use...infact this may be a

FIRST! (colours are not true to life

but you get the drift)

The weather has turned ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC
here, finally!!! I think we all thought we'd be going from one wet season to another, with no break in between!
Thankfully it's just beautiful here now, fans off
doonas on, windows closed in the mornings....
ok, so for all you southerners who think we're
insane, wearing jumpers when the temp hits 25......
it's the only chance we get OK!!!
so jumpers it is....for a week or two anyway!! LOL

Had a lovely family dinner last night to celebrate.....well EVERYTHING!!!

Our birthdays, m&d 40th wedding anniversary (like WOW.. how awesome is that!), DH semester is over and the fact that I love my family so very much!

new LO

so here's my latest LO (layout) for our DS3 (darling third son)....he's been nagging me for awhile, feeling very left out that I'm doing LOs for everyone else but HIM (in his mind anyway :)

Ok...so what's your 'little something' you like to indulge in when you're on your own?

Well apart from choc, scrapping time (my list just goes on)......just ONE of the things I indulge in lately when I'm home alone is....DOOR SLAMMING!!

LOL

let me explain :P

We have a door that either doesn't shut properly (and I'm a fly-in-the-kitchen-hater!!!!) or it slams shut, so I'm constantly on the DS's case about it!! Being the incredibly

"example setting" mum that I am ;P I always close the door nicely when

anyone else is around......BUT when I'm home alone

I sometimes take great delight

in walking out the door and letting it

SLAM behind me!!!

LOL

hi all!! sorry I haven't been around, been so busy these last 10 days. Told you this would not be updated every day ;P
I've been involved in a cybercrop over at Bons scraps kept me busy last (photo challenge was a lot of fun - had a different prompt every day for a week, so it was a creative challenge to think 'outta the square'...lotsa fun tho...and ended up with photos I never would've normally taken!!!)
Now my sis and her family are here, so really enjoying spending QFT (quality family time:D) with them.
DS's sport has started up again, so that is always a busy time. I'm so glad it's only for 6mths of the year....man I would HATE to be a taxi driver!!!! Thankfully the weather is cooling down and drying up...as much as I'm going to terrbily miss the rain, I really, really, REALLY apprecite low humidity and cool days to sit and watch our amazing DS's play their hearts out!! Never having done sport as a kid (well maybe a few weeks of gymnastics...I do recall learning how to ...hmmm....do something there!!!)....this whole sporting season has been a whole new learning curve for both DH & I the last 8 or 9 yrs! Really don't think the DS's appreciate whats involved, but know that one day, we'll be sitting back watching our grandkids do exactly the same thing...and I'm hanging out to hear those words...."wow, never realised what was involved mum, thanks so much"!!! I WISH!!!! :)
Missing my DH who is pouring his heart into his study, he is SOOOO amazing, I admire him so much, his dedication, determination and his endurance is incredible!!! He really is my hero....just wishing theses next 3 yrs will fly!!

Oh scrappy days!

Still in the process of tweaking this baby blog! Not sure if I'm happy with the name, but will continue to play until I'm happy!
Was so stoked to be able to spend time scrapping on Sat....hubby out studying, DS2 off to his volunteering, DS3 first footy game in the arvo, house clean, dishes done......off to the bedroom to scrap! DS1 happens to think it's HIS desk in HIS room.....this is one area I am gonna fight him for!!!! LOL Really... would he do any homework on there anyways!!!???? LOL Here is what I came up with (I'm really happy with them!!)
